YAKIMA, Wash. -- A local charity is gearing up for their biggest fundraiser of the year tonight. The Children's Wish Foundation is holding their annual silent and live auction tomorrow.
Children's Wishes and Dreams is a local charity that helps make the wishes of children with life threatening illnesses and disabilities come true.
They do everything from send kids to Disneyland to building outdoor play areas.
The all-volunteer organization hosts this auction every year.
The event features a dinner catered by the olive garden with silent auctions all night and then the big live auction at 7 p.m.
The auction features everything from arts and crafts to tools and even a small boat.
Children's Wishes Director says, "You name it its here and you will just have a wonderful time helping a local organization that helps just locally. The money that's raised here stays here. Its for our kids."
The auction is close to being sold out, but they say there are about 50 seats that will still be available at the door.
It all happens tomorrow at Holy Family Church in their gymnasium. The doors open at 4:30 and tickets are $20.
Last year they raised $32,000.00 and they hope to raise at least that much again this year if not more.
