YAKIMA, Wash. - Officer Darryl Henning was chasing down a speeder on his motorcycle when a driver in a red minivan pulled out from a stop sign and hit him. Darryl Henning was thrown 20 feet and suffered several broken bones along with a broken leg.
The accident happened just after ten o'clock this morning at the corner of 24th Avenue and Summitview Avenue.

Neighbors say they see accidents at this intersection all the time and it's not the first time an officer on motorcyle has been hit here.
