Police Execute Search Warrant Thursday Night and Arrest Man

Posted: Updated:

KENNEWICK, Wash.-  Kennewick Police executed a search warrant at a home located at 501 West 10th Avenue in Kennewick.

In the last few weeks undercover detectives bought cocaine from the man who lives at the home twice.  They let KNDU cameras come along with them last night as they searched the home for drugs and arrested the suspect.

They executed the warrant at 8 o'clock Thursday night.  They found a pipe broken into three pieces with cocaine residue on it.

49-year old Steven Thiel has already gone to jail twice for selling drugs.  Kennewick Police said they have seen an increase in cocaine use in the community.  They said it is an issue of supply and demand and that cocaine dealers are competing with each other.

Thiel was taken to Benton County Jail.
