Two Men Arrested for Burglarizing Multiple Storage Units
KENNEWICK, Wash.--Two men are arrested after burglarizing multiple storage units.
KNDU has footage of 35-year-old Gary Shook and 45-year-old James McCleery being put into the back of a police car Saturday (March 8th) afternoon.
Around 8:30 Saturday morning, police say a man stopped by Canal Drive Storage and saw McCleery and Shook trying to break into his unit.
The man noticed the two attempting to cut the lock. When the man went closer, both suspects got into a car and drove off.
"He was able to get a description of the vehicle, a partial license plate number and description of the males he saw leaving and through that, police department was able to track down the vehicle," said Sergeant Jesse Mill, Kennewick police.
Both McCleery and Shook were arrested and charged with several counts of Burglary.
Sergeant Mill said these men are linked to another storage unit burglary that happened earlier this morning on Fruitland Street.
