M's Split Two-Game Series

PEORIA, Ariz - The Seattle Mariners split a pair of Cactus League road games today, beating Arizona 10-7 at Tucson, Ariz., and losing to Milwaukee 2-0 at Maryvale, Ariz.      

At Tucson against the Diamondbacks, the Mariners' Mike Morse went 3-for-4, scored three runs, had two RBIs and hit his second home run this spring. In nine exhibition games, Morse is hitting .545 (12-for-22) with eight RBIs.      

At Maryvale against the Brewers, Mariners starting pitcher Miguel Batista pitched three innings and allowed two runs. Seattle did not collect a hit until Jose Vidro led off the seventh inning with a single.      

The Mariners will play one exhibition game at 1:05 tomorrow afternoon, facing the Chicago White Sox at Tucson. Manager John McLaren will start opening day pitcher Erik Bedard. Bedard has a 1-0 record, with a 7.20 ERA, this spring.
