West Richland Police Officer Arrested after Bar Fight
KENNEWICK, Wash.- A West Richland police officer was out of jail Monday after being arrested for domestic violence.
38 year old Officer Brian Galusha is accused of grabbing his 24 year old wife by the hair and putting her in a headlock early Monday morning at Cavanaugh's Landing in Kennewick.
Police say when a bouncer tried to break up the encounter, Galusha spit blood on him.
West Richland police say he'll be placed on paid leave as they investigate the incident.
"We just want to make sure that they're not out on the street that they're focused on what they need to take, and so that we can get this investigation complete without having to worry about anything," said Chief Layne Erdman.
Galusha is a two-year veteran of West Richland police.
He's being held on a count of domestic violence and fourth-degree assault for hitting the bouncer.
