Sun Kings Host Game 2 at YVCC

Posted: Updated:
YAKIMA, Wash. - The Sun Kings set a CBA record by going 43-5 this season. However that home-court advantage they earned in the playoffs won't exactly be what they had in mind. Due to a home show and a club volleyball tournament the SunDome is unavailable for use by the team. The Sun Kings have to face Oklahoma at Yakima Valley Community College. The Sun Kings trail Oklahoma 1-0 in the best-of-three series. They have to win Friday night and Monday night (also at YVCC) in order to advance to the CBA Finals. If they make it to the CBA Finals, it would be a best of five series. The first two games would be on the road, and the series would pick up in Yakima either Sunday March 23 or Monday March 24. The CBA Finals games would be played at the SunDome, not YVCC.
The team's immediate concern i beating Oklahoma Friday and extending their season. Playing at YVCC will be a challenge.
"Different atmosphere, different court that we played our 24 home games on. But again, it's still the same size court ten foot baskets and you got to go play. We're still playing in Yakima in front of our crowd. It's up to us. We're still the team went 22-2 at home. We just have to find a way to win tomorrow and then get another one on Monday."
