YAKIMA, Wash.- It's taken four months of extensive planning and Monday, New Vision of Yakima unveiled Blueprint Yakima. It's a new action plan to guide county-wide economic development over the next five years.
Blueprint Yakima cost $75,000 New Vision hired Angelou Economics out of Austin, Texas to do a four month study. Hundreds of people and businesses in Yakima were interviewed, and what they found is one of their most solid investments over the next five years will be working hard to bring young professionals to the Yakima County, and finding ways to keep them here.
Now that the blueprint has been drawn up, New Vision says they're working hard to finalize the upcoming five-year plan, where they'll target 25 to 44 year olds in the Yakima Valley.
