UNION GAP, Wash. -- It was a happy ending today in Union Gap when missing a boy was found safe after a two and a half hour search.

3-year-old Carson Devins was reported missing late this morning by his parents after disappearing from their front yard where he was playing.

Union Gap Police, along with other law enforcement agencies, began a major search for Carson.

He was eventually found inside a car parked in a neighbor's garage where he was sitting behind the wheel pretending to drive.

Carson's mother said, "I was thinking 'not my son, not my child' and it does it happens that quickly. I think he was found and he's okay because of how everyone was searching for him, so it's amazing.

Carson appeared to be doing fine after he was found.

Within ten minutes of the reunion with his parents he returned to playing in the backyard.

Police say this is a reminder to all parents that it only takes a minute for a child to wander off.
