Union Gapo, WA - A spokesperson for international paper says its too early to say what, if any, impact buying the Weyerhauser packaging businesses will have on any one plant.
One of the 72 plants that the company purchased for six billion dollars happens to be in Union Gap.
Ninety-nine employees work there now.
The spokesperson says they're excited about the assets they acquired and that the employees have a reputation for being talented and hardworking.
She says the official purchase probably won't happen until the third quarter - sometime between July and August.
