PASCO, Wash. - Pasco detectives were on the scene of a mobile home fire Friday afternoon.
The Fire Chief called the fire suspicious. Officials say it appears that the flames spread very quick and it appears that an accelerant might have been used to fuel the fire.
The single wide home on Elm Street in Pasco was completely destroyed.
Firefighters were working to put the last of the flames out. At one point the flames were reportedly 20 feet in the air.
The home is apparently abandoned. It happened around 3:30 Friday afternoon. Nearby neighbors say the smoke and flames could be seen all the way down the street.
Roger Retancourt lives down the street. He said the fire was scary. He said, "I could feel the heat I thought it was going to explode or something. It felt like hot, hot like the sun."
Firefighters said the floor fell in quickly.
Friday night the investigation continued.
