Spudnut Shop in Richland Gets National Recognition
RICHLAND, Wash.-- A well known bakery is about to get some national attention. The Spudnut Shop will be featured Wednesday, March 26th at 8 p.m. on the Travel Channel.
This family owned Donut Paradise has been running since 1948. One of the things that makes the shop special is their potato flour spudnuts. But some of the employees say the good taste comes from the heart.
"Personally I think a lot of it has to do with the way she rolls it out, hand dips them and hand does everything, it's not a big production, it's not a line you know, they're made with love," said Sheree Klug, an employee for 12 years.
Many in the community are also feeling that love. The Spudnut Shop is one of the oldest restaurants in Richland, and still has customers rushing through the door to get those donuts fresh out of the oven.
