Walk A Mile in Her Shoes For Sexual Assault

KENNEWICK, Wash.-- Close to 60 people walked a mile along Columbia Center Boulevard in Kennewick, to raise awareness about sexual assault.

"Walk a mile in Her Shoes", was put together by the Sexual Assault Response Center in Kennewick. The men were asked to wear women's shoes to show their support.

This was optional, but there were a few who were up for the challenge.

"I never knew how much pain girls go through when they walk in heels, my toes are numb, calves already sore, it's already a calf workout. I figured if I'm going to walk in heels I better go in style right?," said a man in heels.

The Kamiakin High School band also came out to show their support. SARC says in the US, someone is sexually assaulted every 90 seconds.
