RICHLAND, Wash.-- A group in Richland also walked for their cause. Close to 300 people met at John Dam Plaza to "March for Respect".
They walked to Richland City Hall and back. March is disabilities month and many in the community walked a mile to show their respect for local citizens with disabilities.
"We're about celebrating people that have disabilities but they're still valued members of the community, and contributors to the community, and a vital part to the community," said Donna Tracy, with the Arc of Tri-Cities.
The "March for Respect" was organized by several groups in the community, including the Arc of Tri-Cities and the City of Richland Parks and Recreation.
