STANFORD, Calif - The Stanford University men's basketball team is losing both valuable Lopez twins.

Seven-foot sophomores Brook and Robin Lopez announced today that they're entering the NBA draft.

They were prep stars in Fresno, Calif., and came to Stanford together.

Brook Lopez was a third-team All-American and a first-team Pac-10 selection this season. He averaged 19.3 points and 8.2 rebounds to go with 56 blocks as a sophomore. He scored the winning basket with 1.3 seconds left in an 82-81 victory over Marquette in the second round of the NCAA tournament to put Stanford in the regional semifinals for the first time since 2001.

Their mother, Deborah Ledford, says both of her sons will hire agents and forgo their remaining two years of college eligibility.
