KENNEWICK, Wash.-- Kennewick police say six thefts happened Thursday night into Friday morning last week all within two blocks of each other.
According to police reports three cars were broken into on the 400 block of North Volland Street and three others on the 500 block of North Arthur.
Police say they're not sure whether these thefts are connected to each other, but think it's a possibility. The thieves took CD players and loose change from the cars and broke the windows out of many of the vehicles.
"There were six instances in this past setting, when you start lumping those all together, if we can find who's responsible they can be charged with a felony," said Sergeant Randy Maynard, with the Kennewick Police Department.
Two out of the six vehicles were unlocked. Police say these are crimes of opportunity and again want to remind everyone to lock their cars.
A black folding knife and a screwdriver are among some of the evidence left behind. Police are still investigating whose behind the thefts.
