SELAH, Wash. -- Nearly five hundred runners came from all over the country and the world to run in the 8th Annual Yakima River Canyon Marathon.
The runners began in Ellensburg where they winded their way through the fields of the Kittitas Valley and then down through the Yakima River Canyon to the finish line just north of Selah.
Desiree Jant ran one of her best times ever for a marathon.
"It was amazing. The hill was tough, but I made it. I qualified for Boston today, so that was pretty good news," said Jant.
Kelly McCauley has run in several city marathons, but this was the most scenic marathon he has ever run.
