18-year-old Dies in DUI Crash

SUNNYSIDE, Wash. -- 18-year-old Fortino Sanchez Rivera died this afternoon after he was seriously injured in a car accident yesterday.

The accident happened around 5:00 p.m. on Gap Road near Sunnyside.

Police say Sanchez was driving to fast and lost control of his car rolling it several times. He and another passenger, Matthew Torres, were thrown from the car.

Torres remains in critical condition at Sunnyside Community Hospital.

Two other passengers were in the car at the time, but they refused treatment.

The accident happened around 5:00 p.m. yesterday on Gap Road near Sunnyside.

Police say drugs or alcohol were involved.
