BB Gun Incidents in Kennewick

Posted: Updated:

KENNEWICK, Wash.-- At this point police are still looking for those responsible for shooting a BB gun at several car windows. Police say these are crimes of opportunity.

Some of the areas affected include the 800 block of 26th Avenue, the 500 block of 36th Avenue, and the corner of 38th and Green Street. Police say they don't have any leads at this point and are asking neighbors to watch out for anything unusual in their neighborhoods.

"It would be really helpful to us to have the community aware that it's Spring Break and kids are going to be kids and we may have some activity in neighborhoods that don't normally see it," said Sergeant Trevor White, with the Kennewick Police Department.

Police also say these incidents are usually happening overnight. The crimes have been limited to broken car windows so far and nothing else around the neighborhoods.

If you see anything suspicious you are asked to call the Kennewick police department with more information.
