Superior Court Judge Yule Retiring

Posted: Updated:

KENNEWICK, Wash.- After 22 years on the bench, Benton-Franklin Superior Court Judge Dennis Yule is stepping down.

Yule says he will not seek re-election and step down at the end of this year.

He says for a man who's job it has been to make difficult decisions, retirement is one of the toughest he's ever made.

"I love my work, I love the people that I work with, I love this community, I love the people that I serve," the Hon. Yule said.

Yule says he wants to spend more time with his nine grandchildren as they grow up, but he wants to continue serving as a pro-tem judge when needed.

He'll also continue work with juvenile justice.

His replacement will come out of the November elections.
