KENNEWICK, Wash.-- There's nothing better than going for a walk on a sunny day like Saturday, but even better when it's for a good cause.
Close to 400 people came out to Columbia Park in Kennewick for the MS Walk. Walkers teamed up to show their support for the fight against Multiple Sclerosis.
Walk ambassadors say Washington state has the highest rate of MS in the country, and the second highest in the world.
Along the way, we ran into a local senator who came out to show his support.
"I was asked by gal named Jaime, never met her before, she said would you come out and walk with my team and I said sure," said Senator Jerome Delvin, R-8th District.
"We thought this was a great opportunity to see if we can get them to come out and support us and he jumped right on board which is wonderful," said Jaime Hagarty, and MS Ambassador.
The four mile walk kicked off Saturday morning at 9 a.m. Walkers in Seattle are getting ready to support the cause on Sunday, April 13th.
