Obama, Clinton weigh in on treatment during debates

Associated Press - April 18, 2008 2:23 PM ET

RADNOR, Penn. (AP) - Hillary Rodham Clinton says dealing with tough questions in a debate pales in comparison to the pressures a president faces.

Clinton was responding to complaints by Obama's campaign that the Illinois senator was targeted with many of the toughest questions in a debate this week between the two candidates.

But it wasn't that long ago when Clinton was complaining about her treatment in debates. After a debate last fall, her campaign compiled clips of her being targeted, and called it the "Politics of Pile On."

And an Obama spokesman is accusing her of "blatant hyprocisy" for suggesting now that Obama is being too thin-skinned about the debate questioning.
