Former Umatilla Indian Reservation Resident Sentenced For Sex Abuse

UMATILLA, Oregon - A 49-year-old man that used to live on the Umatilla Indian Reservation in Pendleton was sentenced to more than six years in prison for sex abuse.  

Wilson Tso Nez sexually abused his step-daughter while they lived on the reservation.

The girl was 13 years-old at the time of the abuse.

She told a counselor and hen police.

Nez was arrested in April 2006 while he was living on the Navajo Indian Reservation near Low Mountain, Arizona.

He plead guilty in federal court last November to sexual abuse of a minor.

Nez is an enrolled member of the Navajo Indian Tribe.
