Problems With People Not Cleaning Up After Their Dogs
YAKIMA, Wash.- The warm weather has more people headed to local parks with their dogs, but City of Yakima Parks and Rec says they're receiving complaints about people not cleaning up their dog's droppings.
Not only is it a mess, Parks and Rec says it's against the law. Failure to clean up after your dog could result in a $250 fine and up to 90 days in jail. Parks and Rec reminds dog owners that their dog need to be on a leash at all times as well. There is a leash law in affect in the City of Yakima that could land you the same fines as not picking up after your dog.
