YAKIMA, Wash. -- There's one place in town that hasn't been affected by the cold weather lately. The Yakima Arboretum says this weather is definitely unusual, but all they have are a bunch of late bloomers.
Their crabapple trees are a few weeks behind and none of their shrubs have bloomed yet, but they say it's nothing to be concerned about yet.
"But overall I think once it starts warming up we will see the people coming through, the photographers, the walkers just kind of enjoying the sights of what we have," said groundskeeper Jeff Neal.
The Arboretum staff is concerned if this weather keeps up the way it is that it will affect their annual plant sale. The sale takes place on the second weekend in May.
