BENTON COUNTY, Wash.--Anyone who lives in Benton County will get a chance to get rid of household hazardous waste this weekend.
There is a FREE collection event on Saturday, April 26th between 8:00 a.m. and noon at the Toyota Center.
Remember to bring you drivers license because you need to prove residency.
However, NO BUSINESS WASTE will be allowed.
This event allows people to clear their homes of products that are taking up space and are no longer useful.
Since many of these items contain hazardous chemicals, getting them out of a closed environment is recommended.
Here's what you can get rid of Saturday. Paints, waste oil, batteries, antifreeze, aerosols and pool chemicals.
Things that won't be collected include Explosives, any radioactive materials, asbestos and solid waste.
Again, if you live in Benton County, stop by the Toyota Center in Kennewick between 8:00 a.m. and noon on Saturday, to dispose of household waste products.
