YAKIMA, Wash. -- The Humane Society of Yakima is hosting two big events this weekend to raise money for their shelter.
On Saturday, it's the inaugural "See Spot Ride" Poker Run. The entry fee is $10. A caravan of people will be riding motorcycles, cars, and other vehicles to various locations in the valley. The first stop is at 10 a.m. at the Humane Society in Terrace Heights. All proceeds go toward new kennels for the shelter.
On Sunday, they're hosting the 6th Annual "See Spot Run" 5K Race. The event starts at 11 a.m. The pre-registration fee is $18 and $23 if you register on Sunday. Walkers and runners are encouraged to bring their dogs. If you do not have a dog, you can borrow one from the Humane Society. The 5K trail goes around the Yakima Arboretum.
