HYAK, Wash. (AP) - The Washington State Department of Transportation says it has completed its avalanche control work on Snoqualmie Pass.
Workers needed to do the work on Saturday afternoon because of warming temperatures, creating the risk of a snowslide that could hit Interstate 90.
Westbound traffic on Interstate 90 was stopped from noon to 1:20 p.m. at milepost 70 near Easton and at milepost 52 near the summit of Snoqualmie Pass.
