Motorcycle Accident Leaves Four People Injured

Posted: Updated:

A motorcycle ride near Basin City turns into a serious accident for four people. Dave and Grace Wells were heading to a friend's home on Sheffield Road.

John and Linda Coleiron were also on their way. The home owners were getting things ready when the unexpected happened.

"We came running around the house, and there was bodies laying on the ground, then I started yelling at these guys, don't move them call 911," said Guadalupe Orozco, who lives in the home on Sheffield Road.

Orozco is an EMT and was able to help her friends right away, but it wasn't so easy.

"Yesterday I got more nervous and everything because they're like family members to me, they're like my brothers and sisters," said Orozco.

On Sunday you could still see tire marks and blood on the road. The Orozcos have been living there for 30 years, and never thought this would happen right in front of their house.

Both motorcycles remain at the Orozco's home. They say it'll cost more than $5,000 to fix the bikes, but the price doesn't compare to an accident that could've costed a friend's life.

"Both of these guys have been riding for a long time, you know David couldn't see JC, and they T-boned," said John Orozco, who also lives in the home and is a close friend of those involved in the accident.

John says him and his two friends have been riding Harleys for nearly 35 years. The accident makes him think this could've happened to anyone.

"It made me think a lot, you know, I'm not scared of riding, just you can get hurt doing anything," said Orozco.
