Canadian Army Reserve Soldiers Train At Yakima Training Center
YAKIMA, Wash.- Close to 400 Army Reserve Soldiers from British Columbia are at the Yakima training center to practice firing their rifles in the desert terrain. It's all a part of a ten day training event for the 39th Canadian Brigade. We're told the last time the brigade was in Yakima was about three years ago. All the soldiers that talked to KNDO said they're excited to be on American soil and that their advanced training back home.
Right now 138 reserve soldiers from Bristish Columbia are in Afghanistan, and the Canadian Army says this ten day training will help the next group get ready to serve their country at their highest level. The soliders were stay in Yakima until Saturday, and then they'll head back home.
