PASCO, Wash. --A local leadership group uses the latest in fashion to raise money for a good cause.
Organizers at the Mid-Columbia Leadership Development Association say this is the 12th year they have put on a fashion show. Organizers say in 1996 they had 35 people. This year, they had 320 people attend the show.
The Association uses the money to support a variety of local charities including the EPIC Youth Center, the ARC of Tri-Cities, and First Tee Columbia Basin. The group also promotes leadership and development in the Tri-Cities. Organizers say they are just amazed by the event's success.
Kelly Layfield says, "It's really exciting. I just never thought I would reach a point where this many people are coming to our event. It feels like the big time."
Along with the fashion show, there were also dancers to entertain guests. The audience members even got a chance to go on stage and show off their dance moves.
