WALLA WALLA, Wash.-- Staff at the Washington State Prison in Walla Walla say Oscar Iverson was involved in a fight with another inmate.
Officers say it broke out in a recreation yard on Wednesday night. Officers say they tried to stop the fight, then noticed one inmate was holding a five-inch-piece of glass.
The suspect used it as a weapon to stab Iverson. He was treated and taken to a local hospital for his injuries.
One officer also suffered minor injuries during the incident. The suspect is being held away from other inmates.
