KENNEWICK, Wash.--The luring didn't happen at Third and South Washington street.
It happened on the 100 Block of E. Fifth Avenue, but this is where the boy's father came face-to-face with David Humenik, the man police say lured the 10-year-old boy into his home.
The boy was riding his bike when he was approached by Humenik.
The suspect lied, saying he had a son about the same age inside his home.
Once the child went in, police say Humenik tried to show him pornographic magazines. The boy tried to leave, but was hit in the mouth.
"The boy went home and told his dad what happened and the dad came with his 10-year-old son to find the guy and the boy pointed him out to the dad and then police were called at that point," says Kennewick police Sergeant Brian Swartswalter.
A homeowner tried to intervene.
She tried to hold the boy's father back from attacking Humenik until police showed up. Humenik is being charged with Assault of a Child, Luring, and possible Unlawful Imprisonment.
