Pasco Soccer Shows off Their Fancy Footwork

Posted: Updated:

PASCO, Wash - They've got the top scoring offense in the 4A C.B.L. and a 13-3 record, now they're getting ready for the first round of the state playoffs.  They're also the defending state champs.  It's not the same Pasco Bulldogs soccer team as last year but this year's Dogs have are still a solid squad.

"We don't have the talent, we have the heart still, but we don't have the talent like we did last year," says forward Paul Herrera.

What they do have is some fancy footwork.  The Bulldogs scored 38 goals in the regular season, due in large part to their foot skills.  "Take it up the field, beat three or four guys, it's always fun to watch that," says Bulldog Andrew Clark.

Clark says he tries to keep things simple when he's on the field, but I found out first hand that in practice, every move is fair game.

Pasco gets to show off their moves tomorrow night when they host Eastlake in the first round of regionals at 7 o'clock at Edgar Brown Stadium.

One important side note for the game is that the Bulldogs' leading scorer Marco Acevado will no longer be playing for the team.  He was kicked off Pasco's squad for an undisclosed violation of team rules.
