New President at CBC

PASCO, Wash.-- New information about the leadership at Columbia Basin College. A former professor is taking over as president.

Doctor Richard Cummins will start on July 1st. Cummins has been with CBC for 18 years. He started as an English professor, and has served as Director, Dean and Vice President. On Tuesday he shared some of his goals for the future of the college.

"I think this is a unique opportunity to serve the community, that's what I'm looking forward to the most, I want to see the college become more connected to the community than it already is," said Cummins.

And this isn't the first time as president for Cummins. He served as acting president last year while former president Lee Thornton was on sabbatical.
