Richland Chiropractor Pleads Guilty to Lesser Charge
KENNEWICK, Wash.- Richland chiropractor Dr. Jeffery Sullivan pleaded guilty to a lesser charge of Communication with a Minor for Immoral Purposes Wednesday, allowing him to avoid felony charges and time in prison.
Sullivan was originally charged with second degree child rape amid allegations he raped and fondled a 12-year-old female patient. Prosecutors lessened the charges in exchange for the guilty plea.
Prosecutors recommended a year in jail, with 305 days suspended, and a sex-offender evaluation.
Sullivan will be sentenced June 25.
He's still not allowed to practice as a chiropractor.
