CBC hopes to Send out Rogers a Winner

Posted: Updated:
PASCO, Wash. - Scott Rogers has spent the last eleven years coaching the CBC baseball team. That run will end this weekend, hopefully with his third NWAACC title. The Hawks head to longview for the postseason tourney. They open against Pierce tomorrow at four thirty.  Rogers coached CBC's Championship teams in 2006 and 2001. He's made the NWACC tournament each of the eleven years he's been the head man. Rogers will become the athletic director next season and Steve Farrington will be the new coach.
"I couldn't possibly have any regrets," said Rogers. "I've been in a fantastic situation for eleven years. It's been a dream for me as a coach--a fantastic administration ,fantastic support., fantastic facilities and I couldn't ask for anything better."
"We want to win it for him and for ourselves," said pitcher Steve Ames. "We just want to go out there and win it. That's our goal every year."
CBC finished fourth last year after winning the title in 2006.
