BENTON COUNTY, Wash. - Neighbors are upset and police are looking for suspects after vandals hit a Benton County neighborhood again.
Neighbors said that since March the crimes have progressively gotten worse. It started off with smashed mailboxes, door bell ringing and egging but now law enforcement say it's getting worse.
On Wednesday deputies took 15 reports of malicious mischief in the El Rancho Reata neighborhood.
Among the more serious crimes reported was a bird house that was thrown through a window, a bench was taken off a woman's property and thrown into a ditch and light posts unscrewed and damaged.
Neighbors are mad as the problems keep escalating.
Terri Widergren said, "I don't feel threatened. I don't feel endangered. It's just inconsiderate, disrespectful behavior."
Now she is compiling at database to help deputies figure out who is behind all of this damage.
She says there is a pattern of vandals striking on weekends and Tuesday nights.
Deputies are planning extra emphasis in the area.
