SEATTLE (AP) - The body of a 45-year-old Seattle man who who disappeared while kayaking on the Green River last weekend has been found.
Search crews found the body on Saturday, still floating in the river. But search crews say they haven't recovered the body yet due to the strong river currents.
The King County Sheriff's Office says the man was kayaking with three friends downstream from Kanasket Palmer State Park on May 17 when he disappeared.
It was the hottest day of the year, and the river was running swiftly and high due to heavy volumes of melting snow and ice.
The Green River remains closed to recreational use because of the swift currents and heavy snowmelt.
