KENNEWICK, Wash.-- If you are just getting around to spring cleaning, the Washington State Department of Health wants you to watch out for mouse droppings.
It says to be careful about stirring the dust into the air. The dust could have the Hantavirus, which causes a potentially deadly lung infection.
There have been 34 cases in the last 15 years, 11 of them ending in death. If you do find mouse droppings, don't sweep or vacuum them, clean them up with a bleach-water solution.
