Benton Franklin Volunteer Center Is Moving

Posted: Updated:

KENNEWICK, Wash.--  The Benton Franklin Volunteer Center is getting a new home.  The Volunteer Center places people who want to help out with groups that fit their interests.

Right now the center has 8,000 registered volunteers, and 225 groups that need them.  Their number of volunteers has grown so quickly that the center needs a new space. Executive Director Cathy Merrill Holle says, "We have been getting a lot more volunteers so we needed a place that had better parking for volunteers to go through the interview placement process, and we needed something with higher visibility, and we'll be right off 10th Avenue so we'll get that."

The new Volunteer Center will be located at:

900 S. Dayton St.

Suite B

Kennewick, WA 99336

The phone number will remain the same:  582-0631.

They'll be closed until June 5 at 9:00am, so if you want to help out call or stop by their new location after that.
