U.S. Senator Discusses Farm Bill at Kennewick School
KENNEWICK, Wash.--Washington State U.S. Senator Maria Cantwell discussed progress for the state in the new national farm bill Thursday (May 28th) at Park Middle School in Kennewick.
Senator Cantwell, along with agricultural leaders from across the state, says the bill allows school districts to offer greater varieties of fruits and vegetables to students throughout the day.
"This is certainly good news for Washington State on a agricultural bill that really recognizes the unique crops and products that we produce in Washington State and the investment that needs to be made in research and development," mentions Senator Cantwell.
