A Yakima man is fighting terminal brain cancer and needs your help.
YAKIMA, Wash.-A man is fighting terminal brain cancer and needs your help.
31-year-old Chad Sears was diagnosed with brain cancer eight years ago. He has undergone treatment twice already. He now needs treatment for a third time.
Sears has had a positive outlook on the situation however his family is having difficulty accepting his illness.
"They [family] were upset because it's terminal and once we discovered there is no cure for a brain tumor we realized what we are really faced with," said Chad Sears.
Sears has three children ages 5, 7 and 14.
Sears says he isn't fighting the illness for himself. He says he is fighting to be alive for his kids. He wants them to remember that he was a fighter and never gave up.
Unfortunately, Sears' insurance will not cover the treatment he needs. His friends and family are asking for donations. To help Chad Sears fight brain cancer you can donate money to the Chad Sears Treatment fund at the Yakima Valley Credit Union. There will also be a spaghetti feed and silent auction on June 3rd at the Mt. Olive Lutheran to help raise money for Chad's treatment.
