Benton County Assessor's Office Finds New Location
KENNEWICK, Wash.-- Workers from the Benton County Assessor's office could be moving to a new location because of mold in the current office.
Benton County commissioners are thinking about moving them to the Beat Cafe inside the Justice Center in Kennewick. County commissioner Claude Oliver says they hope to move them to the new location in three or four weeks.
"To get our office back together is our number one goal as quickly as possible, and then see what we can do with this solution, if it's agreeable to everyone is to move toward a long range solution," said Oliver.
Oliver also says the re-modeling of the Beat Cafe is costing about $50,000. He says no other offices were affected by the mold.
