TOPPENISH, Was. -- Pacific Power is teaming up with the Salvation Army and the Northwest Community Action Center. They're working together to help low income families pay their electric bills.
During the month of June all Pacific Power customers will receive donation envelopes in their electric bills.
Last year, the money raised went to nearly 160 families in the Lower Yakima Valley.
Kim perkins, of the Northwest Community Action Center in Toppenish, is hoping they can help even more families this year.
"If you think your dollar doesn't matter. It surely does, because we are looking at it as a whole," said Kim Perkins.
The Northwest Community Action Center has a number of programs aimed at helping low income families.
