KENNEWICK, Wash.-- A young man's wish is coming true. Jack Pietrok's ultimate wish was to go to Legoland in San Diego.
The Make-A-Wish foundation is making this trip possible. The 10-year-old boy from Richland was diagnosed with Lymphoma last November and went through four months of chemotherapy.
He had a send off party on Saturday, and told us why he picked Legoland.
"Just all the cool towers that they have there," said Jack Pietrok.
"There's now way to put into words how much my friends and people in the tri-cites have put forth with love and prayers," said Kim Pietrok, Jack's mother.
Jack and his family will be leaving for San Diego next week. Jack's mother told us they'll also be going to Seaworld and the San Diego Zoo.
Even though he missed four months of school, Jack is right on track. He'll finish the 4th grade on Thursday.
