Posted: Updated:

KENNEWICK, Wash.--The Seattle Seahawks have chosen to return to the Tri-Cities for their second annual Seahawks "Blue Tour."  Blue Tour activities will be held, June 14-15, 2008.

The Blue Tour was created by the Seahawks to recognize the "12th Man" and to thank the communities for their passion and support.  On Saturday, the Blue Tour will kick-off with a tailgate party at Outback Steakhouse in Kennewick.  Families can visit with mascot Blitz and receive autographs from Seahawk players, SeaGals, and members of the Blue Thunder Drumline.  The Gatorade Junior Training Camp (must pre-register) will take place at the Toyota Center; a free two-hour instructional football clinic for kids ages 8-14.  Cheer and dance sessions, with instruction from the Sea Gals and Blue Thunder will also be held at the Toyota Center.  After the Blue Tour activities, football fans that purchased discounted group tickets will enjoy the Tri-Cities Fever as they take on the Spokane Shock.  The evening will also include a ceremony to honor our military with the presentation of a Seahawk's jersey to Major David Niesen (Army Reserves) and his family, halftime performance by the Blue Thunder Drumline and prize giveaways by the SeaGals. Sunday morning, the City of Kennewick welcomes Seahawks fans to Keewaydin Park for a free Father's Day pancake feed followed by a special flag raising ceremony to honor a special dad.

"Our community has long demonstrated its support for the Seattle Seahawks, and the Bureau is pleased their staff chose to bring the Blue Tour back to the Tri-Cities.  The Seahawks Blue Tour will offer a weekend filled with family activities; and allow our citizens to show their enthusiasm and support for Seahawks football," said Kris Watkins, President & CEO of the Tri-Cities Visitor & Convention Bureau.

For more information about the Blue Tour and to register for the Gatorade Junior Training Camp, visit the Seahawks website at or contact the Tri-Cities Visitor & Convention Bureau at 509.735.8486 ext. 223.
