Kadlec Medical Center In Richland Gets Donation From Richland Family
RICHLAND, Wash.-- A local family is helping Kadlec Medical Center get closer to its goal, of raising $7 million for a new project.
Don and Lori Watts gave a multi million dollar donation to Kadlec for the construction of a new Pediatric Center. Staff at the Kadlec Foundation say the family has been a long time community supporter.
The new center will be located on the 5th floor of the new Kadlec River Pavilion. It will be named after the family. Watts' say they're glad they can help out so many families in the Tri-Cities.
"It's a natural progression to further the future of the Tri-Cities and pediatrics is a part of it, the children that get treatment here and are born here are the future of the Tri-Cities," said Don Watts.
Along with the Watts family, the Medical Director of the future Pediatric Center was introduced on Tuesday. Doctor Josh Weldin joins Kadlec from the Seattle Children's Hospital.
To this day the Foundation has raised over $6 million for the project.
