UW student seriously hurt in fall from window

SEATTLE (AP) - Seattle police say a 21-year-old University of Washington male student is hospitalized with life-threatening injuries after he fell 30 feet from a fraternity house window onto a concrete surface.

The student was taken to Seattle's Harborview Medical Center on Saturday morning. He lived in the fraternity house.

Emergency crews were called to the fraternity house in the 4500 block of 19th Avenue Northeast at 4:30 a.m.

Officer Mark Jamieson says Seattle police are investigating the fall.
