TRI-CITIES, Wash.--Around 8:00 p.m. Saturday (June 14th) night, witnesses told Kennewick police a smaller boat hit a larger one near the Cable Bridge that runs between Kennewick and Pasco.

One of the boats was anchored in the water when the crash occurred.

Kennewick Fire Department Captain Mikael Barnett told KNDU six people were involved in this accident. He says three were taken to Kennewick General Hospital while two refused medical treatment.

Their conditions are unknown because no names have been released by law enforcement.

One person, a man in his 70's is still missing.

Benton County Sheriff's Office, Columbia Basin Dive Rescue, and Kennewick fire officials were all out on the water, trying to see if they could find anything.

However, as of Saturday night, Captain Barnett says they are looking for a body.

Dive Rescue teams will resume their search Sunday (June 15th) morning
